In our experience, there are two general maintenance methodologies regarding commercial plumbing systems.

  • Periodically assess the plumbing system’s condition, budget for maintenance and replace components prior to catastrophic failure
Revive Pipes works very well with commercial buildings managed in this way. A proactive approach allows us to work with the commercial property to accurately assess the condition of the piping in the building and provide cost estimates for capital planning.
  • Use to failure. Replace leaks and failures as they occur
Revive Pipes does not normally deal with commercial buildings maintained with this methodology because we are not set up to respond to emergencies 24/7 in commercial buildings and pipes replaced in this scenario are typically very short lengths with walls and floors often needing opened to clean up contamination. This situation negates some of our main advantages of minimal disruption to the building as well as avoidance of expensive demolition and restoration costs. Once the pipe has already been exposed to clean up contamination, it make sense to simply replace it with a new pipe.
