City of Calgary Outdoor Swimming Pools
Kiddie Pool Fountain Saved
A City of Calgary's outdoor swimming pool had some water left in pool lines over the winter, causing the pipes to crack. After a Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) inversion lining contractor attempted to fix the problems and dug several holes in the pool deck without fixing the problems, Revive Pipes was called.
Revive Pipes specialized service installed Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) structural liners in three (3) leak locations, saving the City of Calgary $20,000 and destructive repairs to the pool deck and swimming pool basin. We saved the swimming pool from opening late for Calgary's summer season and we didn't do any excavation or demolition to do it.
When staff arrived at a City of Calgary swimming pool in the early spring to prepare an outdoor pool for the summer season, routine checks indicated they had some big problems. There was significant water loss from the swimming pool, indicating that water was leaking out of the pipes or pool basin into the ground. A leak detection company identified 3 points on the pool deck below which there was water leaking from a pipe.
One section of significant cracking was in the kiddie pool water supply pipe that was cracked from the vertical PVC outlet right through a PVC ninety (90) degree elbow and into the horizontal PVC pipe. The second crack was located in the main swimming pool supply line under the swimming pool deck. The third crack was located in a skimmer drain line of the main swimming pool and again was cracked through a ninety (90) degree elbow.

Revive Pipes Solution
Revives Structural Lining CIPP Services
Revive Pipes have used our specialized tools, materials and techniques to install Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) structural liners to repair swimming pools, hot tubs and decorative fountains. Swimming pool, hot tub and decorative fountain piping systems are particularly complex, often with many more ninety (90) degree bends with a tight or sharp turning radius. Because of the complexity of swimming pool, hot tub and fountain piping, not all systems or locations within the piping system can be repaired using Revive Pipes Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) structural lining process.
When a pool system is experiencing systemic leaks at PVC pipe joints, Revive Pipes Pressure Pipe Internal Epoxy Barrier Coating service may be the more suitable repair option. Our epoxy barrier coating service fully coats the internal surface of the piping system with an epoxy barrier coating to seal all of the joint leaks.
